Managing assets

All profile types can have assets (photos, videos or pdf documents) included.

To add an asset is one of the trickier tasks. Here’s a step by step guide to adding assets to your profiles:-

  • go to the ‘Assets’ tab
  • click on the title of the folder you want the asset to appear in:

'button' – the small image that appears in a search list

'hero' – the image that appears at the top of your profile (if multiple images are included here, a slide show will automatically be created)'downloads' – pdf docs, ie tech specs and plans (presenter, venue, producer profiles only)

'images' – additional photos that can be displayed via a different window

'marketing' – pdfs of marketing collateral (productions only) such as MRs, fliers, posters etc

'technical' – pdfs of technical riders (productions only)

  • click on ‘upload new assets’
  • click on ‘browse’ to find the appropriate file on your hard disk, making sure it is no more than about 300k, then click ‘open’ (for 'downloads', 'hero', 'images' and 'marketing', you can open more than one file at a time)
  • click on ‘upload file’ to load this file or image. This last step may take a few seconds, depending on the file size. (If it fails to upload, it may be because it is too large. There is a limit of 400k.)
  • close this window by clicking the red cross box in the top right hand corner. (When you click on the title of the assets folder, you should now see a list of the files contained in it.)
  • save your assets by clicking on 'update profile'.
  • assets can be deleted by clicking on the name of the asset folder, then the file you wish to delete and click delete in each of the 2 windows that open as a result.

Keep your uploaded file sizes small, as large files will slow down the speed of your profile appearing.

Technical Specs for Images

Images should be saved as:

Colour: RGB

72dpi and jpeg file type

Hero Images: 580 wide x 420 high (pixels)

Button: 160 wide x 120 high (pixels)

Video Footage

A video clip can be added to Production Profiles. This is done via the 'Synopsis' field in the 'Performance' tab. Click at the end of your synopsis text and then click the second icon from the right in the second row of the formatting palette (the 'film' icon). Then paste the YouTube URL for your clip into the File/URL field and then click 'insert'. You will need to select 'presenter' view to see the clip in action. More than one clip can be included.

Once again, save your new assets by clicking on 'update profile'.
